SEWA Project

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” —Winston Churchill

At Raman Munjal Vidya Mandir, we strive to inculcate the qualities of empathy and compassion in our students who will be responsible future citizens of this society. We, therefore, engage them in philanthropical activities. The school planned a day full of fun and frolic for the under privileged children of all Asha centres  under the Sewa project initiated by CBSE  to raise awareness on addressing real-world problems and serving the world community.

The students of classes VIII, IX and XI along with the school staff worked with an immense degree of responsibility  to make the fete  enjoyable . The students helped to set up stalls and fun games. Each stall was tastefully decorated. A plethora of fun filled activities like rides, games, magic show, puppet show, dancing and live entertainment were successfully organized by the students volunteers. The children swarmed all over the fields, trying their luck at various stalls as each stall had loads of attractive prizes. The environment all over was vibrant and jubilant.

It was a wonderful opportunity and a great learning experience for the students  to engage with the under privileged children. This gave them a deeper understanding of the varied sections that exist in society. The students also danced and played games with these children.

This activity encouraged the  students to work towards the cause of enlightening of the less privileged who are generally seen as unfit to the general norms of the society. All in all, it was a memorable and insightful day for our students. This  noble deed not only heartened the little kids’ day but also uplifted their  mood giving them  the sense of fulfilling duties as a responsible students.
